Fees, hours, closures, seasons, and regulations change, sometimes with no notice. Everything on this site should be confirmed against the Michigan DNR and Silver Lake State Park before you travel. Where we are unsure, we say so and tell you to call the welcome centre rather than guessing on your behalf.

Riding is your risk

Off-road riding on open dunes carries real risk of injury and death. This guide describes conditions, rules, and common mistakes to help you prepare. It is not instruction, not certification, and not a safety guarantee. Decisions on the sand are yours, and so are the consequences.
